When was the first Business Excellence Award presented?

The Texas Consilium Business Excellence Award was inaugurated on May 13, 2019 with a presentation for Lifetime Achievement to Jerry Jones,  best known for being owner of the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys since 1989.  From humble beginnings in Arkansas, to building a business empire valued at more than $5 billion, there are plenty of leadership lessons to be learned from his journey.

The Business Excellence Award was presented to Jerry Jones by Brint Ryan, CEO of Ryan LLC, and Jim Ratchford, Executive Director of Texas Consilium.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott assisted with a video tribute to Jerry Jones and recognition of Texas Consilium.

The first Texas Consilium Business Excellence Award presented to a Texas business, rather than an individual entrepreneur, will occur on May 11, 2020.
